FIWA join International Competition and Assessment for School (ICAS)

As part of FIWA commitment to gain international standard, on Saturday 9th and 16th September 2017 more than 100 FIWA students, grade 7 until 11 students join International Competition and Assessment for School (ICAS).


ICAS designed specifically for primary and secondary students. ICAS are conducted annually in Australia and in over 30 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, Pacific countries, and America. Top scoring students in each year level in each subject are awarded a UNSW medal. ICAS is conducted by UNSW Global, Educational Assessment Australia. UNSW Global Pty Limited is a not-for-profit provider of education, training and consulting services and a wholly owned enterprise of the University of New South Wales (UNSW).


Alhamdulillah, this year there are 125 ICAS candidates, 53 candidates for Mathematics, 50 for English and 22 candidates for digital technology.


By joining ICAS FIWA students will receive an individual report containing detailed diagnostic data, information about individual progress over time, a password to access their results online which can be viewed and downloaded and a potentially a University of New South Wales medal and certificate acknowledging their achievement.


As a School, FIWA will identify gifted students for further enrichment also Identify areas of weakness in a student or group of students, then FIWA can give a better treatment for those students, all these reports will received by the school one month after exams, which is on the beginning of November 2017, we hope Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala shower us with his blessing.
